This year picking a costume for Halloween was not easy. For two years in a row Chloe was a bumblebee. Well this year, Chloe was going to be a vampire like her brother. I made the cape for her. First she didn't like the hood, then I cut the hood off, she didn't think it was long enough. So she decided she wanted to be a Mermaid. We went to our neighbor's house to borrow the mermaid costume. It was so long she would have been walking on the middle of the tail the entire night. She didn't like the way I was trying to make the tail not drag on the ground. "Mommy, I need it long so I can swim!" I explained that since there is no water on our streets for Trick or Treating she would need to keep the tail up and not drag it. Well that was it, no mermaid. So we went back to our neighbor's home and picked something else from her large dress up chest. After I adjusted the dress, added some sparkly buttons and a bow on the back, arm scarf, and crown we had us a beautiful Princess Costume. Phew! Oh and while getting Chloe's hair ready I happened to curl her hair wrong, and she started to cry because I had not done it right! Really?! The drama is starting a little too early! She is only 4!!!!
